Tunisia's Ministry of Tourism said arrivals reached about 5.928 million tourists by 31 July 2026, 2.6% more than in the same period of 2025.
Ministry spokesperson Anis Ben Gharbal said the figures "reflect the sector's continued positive momentum", with the Canadian market up 10.2%, the Russian market up 20% after weekly direct flights rose from 6 to 13, and the Belarusian market returning via a new direct route.
Major Spanish hotel chains also plan to invest in Tunisia, supporting jobs and economic activity. Visitors arriving by road from Algeria and Libya remain among Tunisian tourism's largest traditional markets.
