The seventh Meknes International Tourism Forum opened on Friday 9 October 2026 and runs until 11 October under the theme "Imperial Meknes: a tourism experience at the heart of a restored heritage". It is organised by the Grande Ismailia association under royal patronage.
The forum presented the old city's restoration programme, costing nearly MAD 1 billion and comprising 54 integrated projects — 36 of them devoted to historic monuments — and more than 12 km of defensive walls.
The programme includes sessions on experiential tourism and investment appeal, plus tours of restored sites such as Bab Mansour, the Mansour Palace, the Bou Inania Madrasa and the Heri es-Souani granaries, targeting visitors from Europe, China and India.
