Central Bank of Jordan data show tourism income of $5.557 billion in the first eight months of 2026, 2.9% higher than a year earlier.
August alone brought $1.139 billion, up 17.2% on August 2025.
Arab visitors led the growth, with income from Arab tourists up 16.3% and from Asian nationalities up 9.5%, while European and American markets declined. The sector aims to raise the value of each trip, drawing on destinations such as Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea.
